When a stock splits, Stock-Trak makes the adjustment usually the next business day. Splits are recorded as you receiving the stock at $0.00 cost for the extra shares.
For example, if XYZ, Inc. (XYZ) encounters a 2:1 split and is currently trading at $100 per share and you own 100 shares then the results are as follows:
The share price would decrease to $50 ($100/2) per share in your portfolio.
In addition, your portfolio would receive an additional 100 shares of XYZ at a price of $0.00 so your total share amount will now be 200 shares values at $50 each. |
